Make your AI experimentation add up.

An AI Commercial Transformation Workshop for sales and marketing teams, helping leadership move from AI experimentation to clear choices about where AI can create growth. Growth before technology, people driving transformation.

AI Strategy Workshop
Format

Facilitated leadership workshop

Duration

Three to four hours

Focus

Business value before technology

Outcome

One selected priority & clear decision

Technical expertise

None required

A focused, bespoke leadership workshop.

Address essential questions to move from experimentation to transformation.

Consider AI transformation in the context of growth and clients.

Align leaders, building a shared direction — including what to stop.

Consider people, judgement and risk before specific technology solutions.

The outcome: leadership clarity, selected priorities and a clear decision on what should happen next.

For sales and marketing leaders under pressure to provide answers.

Bring the people who can take the decision and make it work:

Marketing, commercial or functional leaders.

An executive sponsor with authority to commit.

The people who will be responsible for making it happen.

How it works

We do the groundwork beforehand, so the workshop doesn’t start with a blank whiteboard: preparation includes consolidating information and data about your existing experiments.

The flow of the workshop focuses on your growth priorities and incorporates discussion about the concrete impact on leadership and people.

The agenda

The agenda includes aspects of the following essential topics:

  • Your growth priorities and current AI activity.
  • Where AI can accelerate your growth.
  • The impact of AI on leadership and people.
  • Your key processes and use-case opportunities.
  • Client benefits, complexity and contribution to growth.
  • Decisions on next steps, including ownership, roles and responsibilities.
AI Strategy Agenda

Possible AI use cases.

We always start from your business specifics: your growth priorities, current processes and existing experiments determine the specifics. Opportunities may include:

Commercial intelligence

End-to-end pipeline and opportunity analysis.

Marketing

Research, content, campaigns and audience intelligence.

Sales

Prospect research, account intelligence and proposal support.

Operations

Administration, internal knowledge and repetitive workflows.

Customer experience

Faster, more relevant service and support.

Decision support

Faster access to evidence and insight.

How we identify and prioritise AI opportunities.

Each opportunity is tested against four questions:

01

Will it materially improve growth, value or capacity?

02

Is the upside worth the complexity?

03

What must remain human, and how will it impact people and leadership?

04

Is there a clear owner and a practical path to proof?

What you leave with.

A shared view of where AI can add value.

A clearer understanding of what AI will mean for your people and leadership.

A prioritised comparison of the strongest opportunities.

One selected priority use case — and clarity on what can wait.

The critical assumptions that need to be validated next.

A sponsor, an owner and a clear next-step decision.

One well-chosen proof beats twenty ideas nobody owns.

What this isn’t.

Not a tools demonstration or technical training session.

Not a technology implementation project.

Not a full enterprise AI transformation roadmap.

Not a long list of unowned AI ideas.

The workshop is a focused leadership decision, designed to move forward with a clear set of priorities.

Afterwards.

The workshop ends with a decision on priorities and next steps.

  • If the case is strong enough and the organisation is ready, the next step is to turn the selected priority into a simple project charter that will form the basis for a development sprint.
  • A focused development sprint validates the value case, data, workflow, risk and technical solutions.
  • It also looks at how people and AI will work together, and how any capacity created can be put to better use.

Frequently asked questions.

  • What is an AI commercial transformation workshop?

An AI commercial transformation workshop helps sales, marketing and customer service leadership teams decide where AI can create meaningful business value before making technology decisions. We look at the business priorities, where AI could make a difference and what that could mean for the people doing the work. The aim is to move beyond experimentation and identify priorities, with a clear decision on what should happen next.

  • What happens in an AI strategy workshop?

The focus is on business value and practicality rather than tools. By the end of the session, the leadership team should have a shared view of priorities and what should happen next.

  • How do you identify AI use cases?

First we confirm your growth priorities. Based on that we identify your key processes impacting your ability to accelerate towards those priorities. Lastly, we assess where AI can remove obstacles, improve performance or create new opportunities within those key processes.

  • How do you prioritise AI opportunities?

We look at potential business value, feasibility, effort and how quickly an idea could be tested. The aim is to focus attention on a few worthwhile opportunities rather than create a long list.

  • How do you determine whether an AI opportunity is worth pursuing?

During the workshop, each opportunity will be considered in terms of business value, contribution to growth, and complexity. Each opportunity should have a credible path to value and be practical enough to test without creating unnecessary complexity. Assumptions made during the workshop will be further validated during the first step of the development sprint.

  • Is this an AI implementation project?

No. The workshop decides what is worth developing. If there is a strong case for taking an idea further, we can help develop or test it afterwards, including with specialist technology partners where needed.

  • Do we need to know which AI technology we want to use?

No, we prefer not to start here. The workshop begins with your growth priorities, the key processes driving that growth and how AI can accelerate that further; technology choices come later.

  • What types of business processes can you assess?

Marketing, sales, operations, customer experience, knowledge management, reporting and decision support. The exact scope depends on your organisation and where the most relevant opportunities are likely to be.

  • What is this workshop not designed to do?

It is not tools training, implementation or a full transformation roadmap. It is a focused leadership workshop designed to select one priority and make a sound decision about what should happen next.

  • How long is the workshop?

Usually half a day. For larger organisations or more complex requirements, we may recommend a full day.

  • Who should attend?

Ideally a small cross-functional leadership group. We’ll agree the right participants with you beforehand.

  • Do we need AI expertise?

No. The workshop is about your business and where AI may create value, not testing anyone’s technical knowledge.

  • Can it be delivered remotely?

Yes, although we prefer to have people in the same room when possible.

  • How much preparation is required?

Not much. We will send a questionnaire and agree any information we need beforehand. The preparation is then in our hands and we do the synthesis.
